My limited knowledge (and the internet) inform me that the Chinese Crested will go in to heat just like any other breed. This is appoximately every six months.

most dogs “come into HEAT” as its termed 3-4 times a year. same with cats. cows r like women every month.

this is for all dogs in general

    Dogs
A female dog is diestrous and goes into heat typically twice every year, although some breeds typically have one or three cycles a year. The proestrus is relatively long at 5-7 days, while the estrus may last 4-13 days. With a diestrus of 7-10 days, a typical cycle lasts about 3 weeks followed by about 150 days of anestrus. They bleed during this time, which will usually last from 7-13 days, depending on the size and maturity of the dog

heat is technically the opposite of menstruation, sure it both cases blood is involved but thats about the only similarity,

dog go into HEAT on average every 6 month, it depends though, so go once a year others every 4 month

    good luck

There is no way to know for sure when your dog will go into heat.

Some dogs only go once a year. Others go 4 times a year, especially if they are exposed to other unaltered dogs or if their ancestors had frequent heat cycles. The average is twice a year.

Best bet is to get her fixed BEFORE she has another heat cycle. This will prevent any pregnancies and will reduce the risks of many cancers.

Dogs dont actually menstruate.. they go thru estrus.. which is different.

Menses is what occours after you ovulate and conception does not occour.

Estrus is when a female is ovulating and ready for conception.

Chinese Cresteds go thru their heat cycle (estrus) the same as other dogs.. every 6 months or so. Some may cycle every 4 months, some may cycle yearly.. it just depends on the individual dog.

This breed is notorious for “silent heats” too.. the dog is in heat, but does not show outward signs of heat (swollen ***** or bleeding)

First of all: Dogs do not menstruate. They come into heat about twice a year.

Second of all: I would highly recommend you get your dog spayed. If you don’t, when she comes into heat, every male dog who is not neutered will be barking up your door. And then you’ll have puppies to deal with.
